The Nefele Network is an international non-profit association with the full name “Network of European Art Festivals for mEntal HeaLth Enhancement” that is based in Brussels, Belgium. 

It is a collaborative structure comprised by leading and emerging organizations, active in the field of Arts and Mental Health that run periodic art events. The Network intends to use the knowledge, experience and wealth of information accumulated by its members

in order to promote dialogue, exchange, and the facilitation of all kinds of art activities connected with the field of Arts and Mental Health. It is particularly looking to enrich the opportunities for international travel, research, practical training, writing, networking and exchange, not only for artists and organisations, but also for independent art and mental health professionals, mental health service users, administrators, as well as trainees. 

THE ASSOCIATION AIMS
1

To inspire and facilitate the establishment of annual art festivals and events for Mental Health by providing any potential support (financial, operational, dissemination of information) to its members.

To support any art activity for mental health treatment and the promotion of mental health for the benefit of service users and the population at large.

To promote the better understanding of the importance of the use of arts in the overall mental health approach.

4

To raise awareness and address stigma attached to mental illness through art.

The Network initiated its activity with the support of the Culture Program of the European Union.
